It is with a grateful heart that we write to you this morning to share some wonderful news!

We surpassed our goal of 250 shoeboxes and packed, wrapped, and wrote letters for an incredible 295 shoeboxes yesterday, November 1, 2026, in support of the Muskoka Shoebox Project!

Every one of these shoeboxes will bring a little extra love, comfort, and dignity to local women who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness in our community. Thank you for being part of this beautiful initiative and helping make it possible!

In addition to the 295 shoeboxes we completed together, we provided another 40+ shoeboxes, along with many additional products and cozy essentials, for Heather and Christina to use in the shoeboxes they continue to create. Last year, the Muskoka Shoebox Project distributed 1,902 shoeboxes locally, making a meaningful difference in the lives of women throughout our community.

As we reflect on the year for Muskoka 100 People Who Care, we are equally grateful for what we have accomplished together.

Collectively, we contributed $19,600 to local charities in 2026!

• $9,420 to Enliven Cancer Care Muskoka and Parry Sound

• $10,180 to the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka

These contributions, along with the generosity shown through our shoebox initiative, are a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

None of this would be possible without YOU. Thank you for your generosity, your enthusiasm, your time, and your continued belief in making a difference right here in Muskoka. We are so proud of what we have accomplished together this year, and we are incredibly grateful to have you as part of this community.

As we head into the holiday season, we wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas filled with love, joy, and time with those who matter most.
